Issue No. 13 – Turning Safety Messages Into Safer Streets

FDOT District Six’s Community Traffic Safety Teams (CTST) bring together local partners across transportation, law enforcement, public health, and education to address traffic safety through a coordinated, community-driven approach. Using the “4 Es” Education, Enforcement, Engineering, and Emergency Services, CTST are turning collaboration into action, supporting initiatives that range from safety education and policy advancements to enforcement coordination and youth engagement. Recent efforts across the district demonstrate how CTST help translate data and community input into practical solutions that reduce crashes and promote safer streets for all road users.
